Elementary Counseling Program

As a school counselor, I work to provide a comprehensive K-6 program that fosters development in academic, career, and personal/social domains—cohesively providing students the opportunity to gain skills and develop their unique potential to become successful in all aspects of life. This is done through classroom guidance, group counseling, and one-on-one counseling with students. I work with parents, teachers, and students to ensure they receive the support they need to succeed.

Classroom Guidance

Classroom guidance is planned throughout the year for each class. I create age-appropriate lessons to teach, practice and engage students' social and study skills while allowing them a safe space to ask questions and be creative.

Small-Group Support

Small-Group Support is done with students who have encountered similar experiences or display a similar need. In small groups, students will learn skills and techniques to build their social, academic and career development domains.

One-On-One Counseling

One-on-one counseling is done on an as-needed basis. I will work with students independently to ensure their needs are being met academically, socially, and emotionally. Students can request one-on-one appointments with me using the self-referral form, or you can request I meet with your student. Both request forms can be found under the 'Meeting Request Forms' Tab.

Teacher/Parent Collaboration

Teacher/Parent Collaboration is an essential part of the school counseling program. No one knows your student better than you. Working with teachers and parents allows me to understand the whole student, and we can work together to find a solution that best fits everyone's needs.
